The option for a battery replacement
The easiest and safest way is to replace the entire ULB with a new ULB. Novega highly recommends this procedure. A battery replacement is a trustworthy task that needs a licensed technician, skills and special tools. If the prerequisites are fulfilled, then the option to do a battery replacement, is given. With a Battery Replacement the beacon receives a new shelf life of another 3 years.

The battery replacement can’t be performed by everybody – it has to be a licensed technician.
Risk with a Non PT9 battery
The PT9 ULB will only work with the Novega batteries. Don’t use any off-the-shelf batteries as it will be recognised by the ULB and there will be no functionality.
